HSC questions
Who sets the HSC exams?
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) writes the Stage 6 syllabuses and sets the written HSC examinations. ATARMAxxing is independent and not affiliated with NESA; our materials are original resources written to those public syllabuses.
What is Stage 6?
Stage 6 is the NSW name for the final two years of school, Years 11 and 12. A Year 12 (HSC) course is the one that counts towards your HSC result, and it is assessed by school-based assessment plus the NESA external examination.
Where do I find past HSC papers?
NESA publishes past HSC examination papers, marking guidelines and notes from the marking centre on its own website. Each subject hub here links to that official material alongside our full-length model exams and mark-by-mark answer guides.
