Common questions
When do 2026 HSC results come out?
2026 HSC results are released by NESA on Wednesday 16 December 2026; UAC releases NSW and ACT ATARs on Wednesday 16 December 2026 from 9:00 am.
How do I check my HSC results?
Results come through NESA Students Online, with results also sent by email and SMS. Your ATAR is issued by UAC, not NESA. Check the official page linked here for the exact process.
Who calculates the HSC ATAR?
UAC issues the ATAR for New South Wales. It is a rank, not a mark: it compares your scaled results with your age cohort, so the same raw score can lead to different ATARs in different subjects and years.
What should I do on HSC results day?
Read your results and ATAR, compare the ATAR with the published selection ranks for your preferences, and change your preferences with UAC before the next offer-round deadline if you need to. Adjustment factors (equity, subject and regional bonuses) can lift your selection rank above your ATAR for some courses.
