- Section A - Imaginative/creative composition informed by the Common Module 'Literary Worlds'; respond to a stimulus on thresholds and contact zones by constructing a world where two realities meet [U3 CM + U4 SK] — ~25 marks
- Section B - Critical essay on the elective 'Intersecting Worlds'; sustained analysis of how composers represent boundaries, hybridity and cross-cultural encounter, using one prescribed text and one related text [U4 E5 + U4 SK] — ~25 marks
- Whole-course craft: the meeting and collision of worlds, perspectives and value systems; structural control of dual or braided perspectives, integrated quotation and a precise, question-directed argument — embedded across both items
