- Section B - Critical essay on the elective 'Intersecting Worlds'; sustained analysis of how composers represent the intersection of human experience with the natural world, using one prescribed text (Proulx, The Shipping News) and one related text [U4 E5 + U4 SK] - ~25 marks
- Whole-course craft: the deliberate construction of a literary world through setting-as-character, voice and figurative language; integrated quotation and metalanguage; sustained conceptual argument under timed conditions - 50 marks
