Find your tutor.
Every tutor is results-checked and holds a verified Working With Children Check or Blue Card before they can take a single session. Book by the hour; learn in a live shared workspace.

How tutoring on ATARMAxxing works
This is a marketplace of individual tutors, not an agency. Each tutor sets their own hourly rate and writes their own profile — the subjects they teach, the results they got, and the kind of student they work best with. You book a single hour at a time; there are no packages to buy up front and nothing that renews.
- Checked before they are listed. A tutor cannot take a session until their Working With Children Check (Victoria and NSW) or Blue Card (Queensland) has been verified and their results have been looked at. Verified tutors carry the badge on their card.
- Live, online, in a shared workspace. Sessions run in the site's own workspace: the tutor and student see the same page, work the same question, and the notes stay there afterwards.
- Start from the exact question. Bring a past-paper question you are stuck on — from the subject's past papers by topic — and it loads into the session when you book, so the hour starts on your problem rather than a warm-up.
- Pay per hour, through the site. Payment is taken when you book, the tutor is paid after the session, and tutors keep 80% of the rate they set.
When a tutor is worth it — and when the hub is enough
An hour with a tutor is best spent on the thing you cannot fix alone: a method you keep getting wrong, an essay structure that never quite scores, a topic the class moved past too fast. It is a poor use of an hour to have a tutor walk you through content you could read. So most students do both: the subject hub for volume — 20 full practice exams with mark-by-mark answer guides, notes, questions and flashcards, for one payment — and a tutor for the specific, stubborn gaps the practice exposes. Every hub can be opened free first, so you can see what you already have before you book anyone.
For tutors
If you finished Year 12 recently with strong results and can explain how you got them, you can apply to tutor here. You set your rate, you keep 80%, and the site handles bookings, payment and the workspace. Read the tutor guide first — it covers the checks, what a good first session looks like, and how the past-paper hand-off works — then apply.
