- Section A - short/medium answer across all four Areas of Study (sociological imagination, misconceptions about Indigenous cultures, the NTER/Intervention and Indigenous responses, race vs ethnicity & othering, ethical methodology, sense of community & geographical/economic influences, alternative vs redemptive movements, coercive vs legitimate power, Chenoweth) - several stimulus-based - ~40 marks
- Section B - four 10-mark extended responses: U3 AOS1 the Yirrkala Bark Petitions, land rights and symbolic vs practical reconciliation, U3 AOS2 a specific ethnic group (Indian-Australian community) and ethical methodology, U4 AOS1 a selected community (an online esports/gaming community) and the impact of ICT, U4 AOS2 a specific social movement (the women's movement) - 40 marks
- Whole-paper skills: defining and applying sociological concepts, theories and methods; analysing and evaluating sociological experience, perspectives and change; using and evaluating evidence and sources; and synthesising evidence into a conclusion - embedded across both sections
