METHODOLOGY / ACCESS LIMITATION: Direct WebFetch against qcaa.qld.edu.au returned HTTP 403 Forbidden on every attempt (tested against the syllabus landing page, the syllabus PDF, the subject-matter report PDF, and the assessment-highlights page), including via curl with a spoofed browser user-agent and via a Jina reader proxy — the site is actively blocking automated fetching. No nimble CLI/MCP or brightdata scraping tool was connected in this environment to bypass the block (per CLAUDE.md these are the designated live-scraping tools, but neither was available/authenticated). All URLs and facts in this index were therefore compiled via WebSearch, whose result snippets are drawn from Google's live index of the qcaa.qld.edu.au domain and quote real page/PDF content (titles, file sizes, ISBNs, marks totals, exact syllabus wording) — every URL listed was returned verbatim by WebSearch against the qcaa.qld.edu.au host and was cross-confirmed by at least 2 independent search queries. However, because no PDF was actually opened and read page-by-page, questions[] is empty per the task's strict instruction, and some structural details (e.g. whether 2024/2025 use a separate stimulus book vs. a combined document, exact page counts) are inferred from naming-convention consistency rather than directly observed. COVERAGE: Geography EAs exist only from 2020 (QCE system's first EA cohort) through 2025 — 6 years total, which is everything currently public; none are portal-locked as far as could be determined via search (all years' question/response books, most stimulus books, and most marking guides were found at public qcaa.qld.edu.au/downloads/ URLs, which QCAA generally keeps open rather than gating behind the myQCE portal). The one gap: the 2025 marking guide/stimulus book were not found indexed at search time (2025 cohort report was published January 2026, so the marking guide should exist by now but may not yet be crawled/indexed by search, or may use a different filename pattern than expected). SYLLABUS ERA: All 2020–2025 EAs were set under the "Geography 2019 v1.1" General Senior Syllabus (one minor subject-matter amendment to Unit 4 Topic 2 wording took effect mid-2022, not a new era). A revised "Geography 2025 v1.3" syllabus exists but only applies to students completing the course in 2026 or beyond (it changes the Communicating criterion and requires more detailed biophysical/anthropogenic process explanations) — its first EA will be sat in 2026, which has not yet happened as of today (8 July 2026) and so is not included as a past-paper year. The topics[] structure given reflects the 2019 v1.1 syllabus (governing all 6 listed past-paper years) — topic wording is very likely near-identical in the 2025 v1.3 revision but this was not independently confirmed since the new syllabus PDF could not be opened. EXAM FORMAT: Confirmed via multiple subject reports — External Assessment is a single "Examination — combination response" paper worth 25% of the overall subject result, drawn from Unit 3 and Unit 4 content only (short-response and extended-response items using stimulus/data). Marks totals varied by year (e.g. 47 marks in 2023, 41 marks in 2024). TOPIC MAPPING CONFIDENCE: The 8 topics/subtopics were triangulated from official QCAA search-snippet language (syllabus wording quoted directly in search results) cross-checked against a third-party teacher resource site's topic-page titles for structural naming — confidence is high for Units 3–4 (EA-assessed, most heavily documented) and Unit 1, and good-but-slightly-less-certain for exact Unit 2 topic titles ("Place and liveability" / "Managing challenges facing a megacity"), which were inferred from a mix of QCAA snippet content and third-party naming rather than a directly quoted QCAA topic heading. RECOMMENDATION: To fill the questions[] array and fully verify the 2025 marking guide/stimulus book and exact Unit 1–2/Unit 3–4 syllabus subheadings, the actual syllabus and question/response PDFs need to be opened with a tool that isn't blocked by QCAA's 403 (e.g. an authenticated nimble/brightdata scraping connection, or downloading manually and running through the pdf skill) — none was available in this session.
