YOUR TEACHER CAN'T GET YOU A 45.

This is Lesson 5, and it's the one your teacher will secretly agree with. The title looks like an attack. It's a defence. Your teacher isn't failing you. They're winning at a completely different game to the one you think they're playing.

There's a sum in this lesson and it takes one line: your teacher's total class minutes each week, divided by the number of kids in the room. I show the working. The number that falls out is so small you'll read it twice, and it explains almost everything about Year 12.

Then we need to talk about what the top scorers in every era did about that number. It's not what you think, and it's definitely not "tried harder in class."
