- Unit 3 AOS1 – Science of food: digestion and absorption, macronutrients, food science of proteins/fats/carbohydrates, sensory and functional properties
- Unit 3 AOS2 – Food choices, health and wellbeing: Australian Dietary Guidelines, Australian Guide to Healthy Eating, food-selection models, influences on food choice, life stages, diet-related conditions
- Unit 4 AOS1 – Environment and ethics: Australian food system, environmental sustainability, food security and its four pillars, animal welfare, fair trade
- Unit 4 AOS2 – Navigating food information: evaluating nutrition claims, food marketing, social media influencers, reliability criteria, evidence-based behaviour change strategies
- Stimulus/data-based reasoning (AGHE day-in-the-life scenario) and extended-response writing integrating ADG/AGHE, behaviour change models and structural approaches
