WACE Psychology Past Papers: Make the Next Attempt Useful
WACE Psychology is on 28 October 2026. This post is about what to do between one past paper and the next, so the second practice exam is more useful than the first.
You have finished a Psych paper. You have checked the marking key. Now what? Before you start another one, pick an answer you got wrong and work out why.
Be specific about the mistake
Open the official past papers and choose a question that fits the current course. Keep the marking key closed while you answer it.
When you check it, be specific about the mistake. Did you forget the concept? Did you know it but struggle to apply it? Or did you name it and stop before explaining it?
Those are different problems. Reading the same page again will not necessarily fix all three.
Say a research question asks how you would measure stress. "Measure stress" is not much of a procedure. What would you record? How would you collect it? Use the details in the question, then check the marking guidance. The Psychology AI marking page is free for every account until Sunday 1 November 2026 if you want a read of your written answer.
Rewrite the part you missed. Close the answer guide and try a different question. That is how you check whether the correction has stuck.
When the concept is the problem
If the concept itself is the problem, go back to the Psychology notes. Use the syllabus guide to check your topic coverage against the current official course. The 2026 exam predictor can help organise revision, but it does not know what will be on the exam.
For definitions, try the flashcards. Then put the definition into an answer. You can use the focused questions before moving on to a full practice paper.
Our original practice exams give you another place to work on the mistakes you have found. You can preview what is available and check the access details for your next attempt.
What is free and what is paid
We have gathered the subject resources on the WACE Psychology hub so you can find the notes, practice and guides together. Our WACE notes buyer guide also explains what to look for when choosing notes.
Official past papers are free. Our paid material is independent original practice exams and answer guides. Psychology is A$20 once, three subjects are A$50 and five are A$60. Open the pack and check the preview and pricing before you buy.
If video is easier, our general WACE exam guide is on YouTube. The WACE timetable discussion is on Reddit and our discussion boards, and the general practice-exam walkthrough is on Instagram.
Save scaling and the WACE ATAR calculator for a separate session. They are planning tools, not a way to know your result in advance.
For now, pick one answer. Fix the part that cost you marks. Then see whether you can do it again without looking.
