This paper covers
- Section A stimuli: a constructed item on community policing of noise and littering; a constructed item on children's play and role-taking at kindergarten; a constructed item on a gang of bored youths in a town with few jobs; a constructed item on smoking indoors then and now.
- Section A emphasis: Q1 social control, stressing formal and informal sanctions.
- Section B lead institutions: Q5 stratification led by work; Q6 power and politics led by media; Q7 interrelationships led by family; Q8 changes over time led by education.
- Section B stimuli, one per institution: family: a constructed item on dual-earner households and domestic labour; education: a constructed item on VET versus university pathways; work: a constructed item on a factory closure; media: a constructed item on cross-media ownership.
- Criterion 7: evaluative topic sentences and a judgement in the conclusion.
