This paper covers
- Section I tests the Core Study (Person, Culture and Identity / Social and Cultural Continuity and Change) through the lens of K-pop as a vehicle of non-Western cultural globalisation, counter-cultural imperialism, and hybrid identity formation
- Section II draws on two Depth Studies: Popular Culture (DS5) and Intercultural Communication (DS4), each requiring candidates to integrate social and cultural concepts with K-pop case material at Band 6 analytical depth
- Exam rewards syllabus-specific terminology — social and cultural literacy, hybridisation, glocalism, agency, power, cultural capital, Westernisation vs. globalisation — applied to contemporary evidence rather than generic recall
