- Core: Continuity and Change — Indigenous belief systems as active forces of resistance to westernisation, with analysis of cultural continuity mechanisms (Dreaming, kinship, ceremony, language) across time and across personal/social/cultural levels of analysis
- Depth Study focus areas: Personal and Social Identity (how Indigenous spirituality anchors individual and communal identity against assimilationist pressure) and Intercultural Communication (how Indigenous communities use cultural expression — art, language revival, ceremony — to assert sovereignty and negotiate cross-cultural meaning)
- Methodological skills: interpreting sources within their social and cultural context, applying continuity/change and ethnocentrism/cultural relativism concepts, constructing sustained argument using sociological and anthropological frameworks
