- Global issue: Development — short-term causes of the post-2024 development financing crisis (ODA decline, debt-service reversal), the role of globalisation/interconnectedness, and an evaluated judgement on the effectiveness of World Bank/IMF/UN responses
- Contemporary crisis: Abuse of human rights — the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar's Rakhine State (2024–2025 Arakan Army–military violence, mass displacement, ICC arrest warrants), competing actor perspectives, and an evaluated judgement on response effectiveness
- Indo-Pacific state: India — national interest, use of hard/soft/sharp/smart power (Operation Sindoor, the Quad, diaspora diplomacy), internal (Manipur) and external (China border, Pakistan) challenges, and an evaluated judgement on effectiveness
- Section B source-based analysis of Australia's national interest and power in the Indo-Pacific, built around an original embedded data extract on the Australia–India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and ECTA trade relationship
- Section C extended responses integrating Unit 3 (development + Rohingya abuse of human rights) and Unit 4 (India + Australia in the Indo-Pacific), each requiring a substantiated evaluative judgement
