  • Armed conflict (Unit 3, AoS2) as the committed contemporary crisis — causes, competing actor interests, and evaluated response effectiveness across Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Hamas/Gaza, and Sudan using dated 2022-2025 evidence: UNGA resolutions, ICC/ICJ actions, sanctions, ceasefire fragility, mass displacement.
  • India (Unit 4, AoS1) as the committed Indo-Pacific state — national interests, hard/soft/sharp/smart power, internal and external challenges (China border, Pakistan, domestic unrest), and evaluated effectiveness using 2020-2025 evidence: Galwan clash, G20 presidency, Vaccine Maitri, Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.
  • Australia in the Indo-Pacific (Unit 4, AoS2, compulsory) — Australia's national interest and power projection through an original embedded stimulus on the Australia-India relationship (QUAD, AUKUS context, Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, ECTA trade agreement, Malabar exercises).
  • Section C integration: Unit 3 synthesis of global economic instability and armed conflict as interconnected crises; Unit 4 synthesis of India's power/national interest and Australia's Indo-Pacific strategy via the bilateral relationship.
