- Section C Q9 The Cold War (origins plus at least three specific incidents, named historians): nuclear weapons and the 'long peace' interpretation
- Section C Q10–Q12 (Australia–Asia, terrorism, migration; interpretations required): alliances (ANZUS, SEATO, APEC) and Asia; counter-terrorism and civil liberties; refugees from Indochina
