- Section C Q9 The Cold War (origins plus at least three specific incidents, named historians): Asia as a Cold War battleground: Korea, China and Vietnam
- Section C Q10–Q12 (Australia–Asia, terrorism, migration; interpretations required): Australia–Japan and the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal; terrorism and the media; post-colonial migration to Britain
- Stimulus type for this paper: constructed historian-style propositions (Sections A and C), each labelled original; Section B asks for the single most serious internal threat and its relative significance
