- Topic 3: Business applications (school-assessed only) — Subtopic 3.1: Planning a business premises — location, facilities and comparison of costs · Subtopic 3.2: Costing calculations — discounts, GST and input tax credits, profit margin, depreciation, break-even analysis and profit and loss statements · Subtopic 3.3: Business structures and taxation — sole trader and partnership comparisons
- Topic 6: Open topic (school-developed, school-assessed only) — A school-developed topic replacing either Topic 1 or Topic 3; content is written by the school and is never examined externally
