  • Depth studies applied: Personal and Social Identity (the influence of religion on gender identity formation and resistance to change) and Social Conformity and Difference (how fundamentalist communities enforce conformity and marginalise gender non-conforming individuals)
  • Key PIP-relevant skills: use of social science methodologies, cross-cultural comparison, analysis of primary and secondary sources, and extended sociological argument using concepts of power, socialisation, norms, and agency
