- Section A — 10 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each, 10 marks total) spanning: design factors, design process, designers & end-users, project management (statement of intent, Gantt, WHS, budget), research & experimentation, prototyping & CAD, production technologies & scale, quality management, evaluation & marketing, innovation case study, life-cycle analysis, ethics/IP/AI
- Section B — written responses (30 marks total) set in the Major Design Project scenario of an inclusive tactile board game for blind and vision-impaired players; includes short/extended items (2–6 marks each) plus one 15-mark essay on designers' responsibilities to end-users and inclusive/universal design principles
Students are permitted to bring into the examination the materials normally allowed for this subject. Answer all questions in the spaces provided.
