Thinkswap vs ATARMAxxing: notes compared
Thinkswap pricing checked October 2026, from Thinkswap’s own site. Prices change — if the figures here no longer match theirs, believe theirs.
Thinkswap is a library of study notes and essays shared by students. Its strength is breadth: you can see how other students approached a topic or task, which is useful in essay-based subjects.
We could not check Thinkswap's prices or access terms on its own site when we last looked, so we do not state any here. See Thinkswap's site for current pricing.
ATARMAxxing sells one complete pack per subject, written to the current study design or syllabus: 20 full-length model exams with mark-by-mark answer guides, 20 revision note sets, 64 practice questions with worked solutions and 200 flashcards, for a one-off payment. Student examples and a structured exam-practice pack do different jobs.

Where Thinkswap is better
No product wins on everything, and a comparison that pretends otherwise is not worth reading. Here is what Thinkswap genuinely does better than we do.
- Breadth. Student documents across many subjects.
- Student examples, so you can see how other students structured an essay or task.
- Essays as well as notes, which suits English, humanities and other essay-based subjects.
- Many different authors and approaches to the same topic.
Where ATARMAxxing is better
- One complete pack per subject, written to one consistent standard against the current study design or syllabus.
- 20 full-length model exams per subject, each with a mark-by-mark answer guide.
- A published one-off price, with notes, questions and flashcards included.
- Every subject can be previewed in full before you pay, with no card.
Our exams are original full-length model exams written to the public study designs and syllabuses — they are not past papers. Every subject hub also links to the official VCAA, NESA or QCAA past papers, which those authorities publish free.
