StudyPulse and ATARMAxxing sell different shapes of thing, which makes this the most useful comparison on the site. StudyPulse is a subscription covering all subjects for as long as you keep paying; its current price is on studypulse.com.au. ATARMAxxing is a single payment for one, three or five subjects, and it never renews — current prices are on our pricing page.
So the first question is how long you plan to study. A subscription is cheapest when you need everything for a short stretch; a one-off purchase is cheapest the longer you keep using it. If you are taking many subjects and only need help for a term, their all-subjects model can work out well; if you are here for two years, the sums move the other way.
The second question is what each is for. StudyPulse is built around AI marking of your answers to past-paper questions, which gives you feedback in seconds. Ours is built around 20 full-length model exams a subject, each with a mark-by-mark answer guide, plus notes, flashcards and an AI marker for your written answers. Fast feedback and detailed marking criteria are both useful; they are not the same thing.

Where StudyPulse is better

Is StudyPulse cheaper than ATARMAxxing?
They price differently, not just at different levels: a StudyPulse payment buys a month across all subjects, an ATARMAxxing payment buys a subject permanently. Which is better value depends on how many subjects you need and how long you need them — check both current prices before deciding.
Does ATARMAxxing have AI marking?
Yes. Mark my work is an AI marker that scores a written answer and explains where marks were gained and lost. It is included when you buy a subject. Every one of the 20 model exams in a subject also has a mark-by-mark answer guide, so you can see how the marks are allocated and mark yourself against the same criteria an examiner would use.
What happens if I stop paying?
On a subscription, access ends when the subscription does. ATARMAxxing has no subscription — you pay once and the subjects you bought stay in your account, including after your exams.
