Edrolo vs ATARMAxxing
Edrolo pricing checked August 2026, from Edrolo’s own site. Prices change — if the figures here no longer match theirs, believe theirs.
Edrolo is built for classrooms first. Schools buy it, teachers assign work through it and see analytics on who has done what, and students get video lessons mapped to the course. If your school already runs Edrolo, a lot of this comparison is academic — you will be using it either way, and it is a capable teaching product.
Where it is worth comparing is when you are buying it yourself. As at August 2026 a Success Kit is A$150 as a one-off with a 12-month expiry, all-access is A$60 a month, and it is A$85 a subject when it comes through a school booklist. ATARMAxxing is A$20 for a subject, paid once, and it does not expire.
The clearest difference is what happens after a year. An Edrolo Success Kit stops at 12 months; ATARMAxxing does not stop. The second clearest is what you are buying: Edrolo leads with video teaching, we lead with exam volume and marking detail. Those are different jobs.

Where Edrolo is better
No product wins on everything, and a comparison that pretends otherwise is not worth reading. Here is what Edrolo genuinely does better than we do.
- Video teaching. If you missed a class or a concept has not landed, being taught it again on video is something written notes cannot do, and we do not offer it.
- Teacher analytics and assignment tracking — the reason schools adopt it, and genuinely useful if your teacher is setting and reviewing work through it.
- School integration. When Edrolo is on your booklist, what you do in it lines up with what is happening in class.
- Depth of course coverage — it is built to work alongside or in place of a textbook, not just as revision.
- The A$85 booklist price is materially cheaper than buying a Success Kit yourself.
Where ATARMAxxing is better
- A$20 once versus A$150 for 12 months, or A$60 a month.
- No expiry. Material you buy in Year 11 is still there in Year 12 and afterwards.
- 20 full-length model exams a subject, each with a mark-by-mark answer guide.
- A$60 covers five subjects — under a tenth of five Success Kits at A$150 each.
- You can preview every note set, exam and flashcard before paying, with no card.
Our exams are original full-length model exams written to the public study designs and syllabuses — they are not past papers. Every subject hub also links to the official VCAA, NESA or QCAA past papers, which those authorities publish free.
Edrolo vs ATARMAxxing — your questions
How much does Edrolo cost?
As at August 2026, a Success Kit is A$150 as a one-off purchase with a 12-month expiry, all-access is A$60 a month, and it is A$85 a subject when purchased through a school booklist. Confirm current pricing on Edrolo's own site before buying.
Does Edrolo expire?
The A$150 Success Kit is time-limited — access ends 12 months after purchase. The A$60 a month all-access plan runs for as long as you keep paying. ATARMAxxing is a one-time payment with lifetime access, so nothing expires.
Is ATARMAxxing a replacement for Edrolo?
Not for the video teaching or the teacher analytics — we have neither. If your school runs Edrolo, keep using it for lessons and assigned work. Where ATARMAxxing adds something is exam volume: 20 full-length model exams a subject with mark-by-mark answer guides, for A$20.
What does five subjects cost on each?
Five Edrolo Success Kits at A$150 each is A$750 and expires after 12 months; all-access at A$60 a month is A$720 over a year. Five subjects on ATARMAxxing is A$60, paid once, kept for life. The products are not identical, so compare what is inside as well as the price.
Does my teacher see what I do on ATARMAxxing?
No. There is no school or teacher dashboard — it is your own account. If your school wants visibility of your work, that is something Edrolo does and we do not.
