WACE Exam Timetable 2026: Official Dates, Past Papers and How to Use Them

WACE written ATAR exams begin on Wednesday 28 October 2026. Put your exam dates into a revision plan now, then make the next study block a timed task you can mark and improve.

Check the official timetable first

Use SCSA's 2026 examination timetable page and your personalised timetable in the SCSA student portal. Written exams start with Psychology and Aviation on 28 October; Chemistry is 29 October and English is 30 October. Use your personalised timetable for your venue and individual arrangements.

Then use official past papers properly

Our WACE exam hub helps you navigate the subjects and official resources. Official papers are free; the paid product is our original practice material.

Choose a relevant official paper and check current course requirements. Not every older question will still match your course.
Attempt a timed section without notes. Save the marking key until after your attempt.
Write down why you lost each mark. Separate knowledge gaps from command-word errors, missing evidence, calculation mistakes and timing.
Fix one weakness before doing another paper. Redo the question, then use an unseen question to check whether the correction transfers.
Allocate remaining sessions by exam date and weakness. A subject that is soon and needs work should not keep losing time to the subject you find easiest.

Why does this matter in an ATAR system?

The ATAR is a rank relative to the Year 12 age population, not the percentage you averaged on practice papers. More hours or more downloads do not automatically produce a higher rank. Better answers under exam conditions are the aim.
